Lloyds Banking Group collect two IN Awards

Lloyds Banking Group were finalists in an amazing six categories at our inaugural Inclusive Networks Awards that took place at Band on the Wall in Manchester on 19th November – more than any other organisation. All four of their employee network groups were finalists at the awards, the only organisation to have representation in each of the four diversity network categories.

In recognition of their authentic support for their four hugely active network groups, the Group won the final award of the night, the ‘Investor in Network Groups’ award. They beat off stiff competition from BNY Mellon, PwC, The University of Manchester, EY and Brown Brothers Harriman.

Earlier in the evening, their Disability Network, Access, also won the ‘Health & Wellbeing Network of the Year’ award and their Rainbow Network was highly commended in the ‘Employee LGBT Network of the Year’ category. Well done Lloyds Banking Group!

They were also finalists in the following categories :

  • Gender Network of the Year : Breakthrough Network
  • Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage Network of the Year : GEM Network
  • Collaboration of the Year : EY Women’s Network and Lloyds Banking Group ‘Breakthrough’ Network, The Secrets of Stakeholder Mapping and Networking for Success

John Turner, Access Network Chair said: “It’s fantastic to win awards and it was a real honour to accept this one on behalf of the Network. It’s great to see the hard work of so many colleagues recognised in this way. But of course the real benefit of this type of recognition is the additional motivation it gives to keep the great work going. We will continue to focus on the things that are important to our members and are fully committed to creating a level playing field for all disabled colleagues within the Group.”

Watch out for our upcoming features with members of each of their four awesome networks.
