Say hello to the official programme for our 2015 Inclusive Networks Awards
Over 200 network group representatives attended our inaugural Inclusive Networks Awards, the first ever awards dedicated to network groups, at Band on the Wall in Manchester on 19th November 2015. Guests were welcomed by the sounds of the Caribbean from the awesome Steeldrumband and the welcome bubbly was served by Barefoot Wine. Our awards host Kate McCabe was a hit with the crowd and provided lots of laughs throughout the night. Further entertainment came from Ri Ri’s Dance Academy and singer Maria Kelly. Our inspiring guest speakers, Apprentice 2014 candidate Sanjay Sood-Smith and founder of Girls Out Loud, Jane Kenyon, delivered two awesome speeches.
We’re a big lover of all things media and brand related. Whether that’s sitting down with a brew and biscuit and reading our favourite magazines, perusing the many social media platforms in our lunch break or reading the fantastic blogs published online, we can’t get enough of them.
When we were developing our ideas for Inclusive Networks one thing was a definite from the very beginning, we would launch a brand new online magazine that crossed diversity strands and had something for everyone. We’ve been developing Network Group publications and building relationships with many networks and inclusive organisations for over five years so we had a pretty good idea about what was missing from the market.
Our magazine wouldn’t be a HR magazine, an LGBT mag or a mag that was too specific in what it was all about. It would be a magazine that contained articles and content we would want to read ourselves, a good mix of features, interviews and content to inspire. It would be created with care and passion. It would have a strong community focus and we’d support up and coming talent too. We’d share stories and features that may struggle to find a home anywhere else. We’d work with amazing people to bring you new and authentic features and interviews with fabulous people that you may not know too much about.
Say hello to ‘Network Buzz’
And from those ideas we are delighted to introduce you to ‘Network Buzz’. The new bi-monthly online magazine has a strong focus on celebrating the work of networks and sharing this with as many people as possible, in an authentic way.
It includes a mix of Network Group features with lots of top tips, Role Model interviews, celeb interviews, info about events and key diversity days, lots of special features written by guest writers and lots more. We hope you like what we’ve come up with. The issues will continue to develop over time.
We’d love for ‘Network Buzz’ to become a publication that is loved by Network Groups and everyone else too.
We look forward to bringing you regular issues along with some very special editions. We have lots planned and we can’t wait to involve you all in our journey.
If you’d like to contribute to the magazine or you have any ideas or feedback, we’d love to hear them. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet us at @incnetworks #NetworkBuzz
